Not because of the alternatively flattering and disturbing similarities between myself and one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite animated films, Up. It's because of one of the most wonderfully impossible sequences of exposition in the history of storytelling. I'm talking about the Married Life montage during the first ten minutes of the movie. It defies dry eyes and never fails to work. It is almost enough to discourage the rest of us from even trying... almost. Then again, maybe, it is just like discovering an imposing and dramatic mountain blocking your path. One can be simultaneously intimidated, inspired, challenged, discouraged, and moved. Of course getting to the top of said mountain is a lot easier when you have a whole bunch of balloons...
