Just learned that my new book Stuck in Stowe was selected as a finalist.

A conflicted contract killer infiltrates a Vermont screenwriters retreat to assassinate a producer whose last flop lost mob money. It was a remake of Moby Dick told entirely from the point of view of the whale. Soon, though he learns that his own “cover story” has been greenlit by the very person he is supposed to kill. Now he is Stuck in Stowe, and must contend with a woodsy polymath, an angry Russian, and a diabetic bear as he decides how his own story will end.
