They say you never appreciate a good thing until it is gone. That may be true, because I really missed the pleasure of working with Nathan Tannenbaum and Eric Duran-Valle at 11th Street Records studio. I just didn’t realize how much until we all got back together on the new project. Getting back into that mode, hearing Nate capture and create the characters of the upcoming humorous book Stuck in Stowe is an incredible experience.

I don’t care whether it is the perfect intonation of Bill’s deadpan (no pun intended) delivery, or Yuri’s distinctive happy Russian mob boss accent, or Neville’s pretentious, desperate cockney patois, Nate makes the characters from the book come to life like no voice actor I’ve encountered. The man is a genius.
The fact is that the miracle of it wouldn’t be caught, if not for Eric’s exceptional ear and skill as a director and sound engineer. I think this audiobook is going to be something incredible and fans of Nate’s work are in for a treat.

More about:
Stuck in Stowe
A KILLER Novel available on all print, e-book and audiobook platforms in the summer of 2026
A conflicted contract killer infiltrates a Vermont screenwriters retreat to assassinate a producer whose last flop lost mob money. It was a remake of Moby Dick told entirely from the point of view of the whale. As soon as he arrives, though, he learns that his “cover story” has been greenlit by the very person he is supposed to kill. Now he is Stuck in Stowe and must contend with a woodsy polymath who is also the town sheriff, an angry Russian mob boss, and a diabetic bear until he decides how his own story will end.
